DJs Upload Your Mixes to Apple Music

Apple has struck a deal with Dubset a music rights company which analyses snippets of music mixes and pays royalties automatically. DJs can now officially upload hour long mixes to Apple Music without fear of the track being removed for copyright issues.

How Does Dubset work?

Dubset works by scanning an entire mix and matching every part of the track to its Mixbank of snippets of official songs based on Gracenote’s audio fingerprinting database. Dubset matches the samples in a mix to these snippets, then distributes royalties for the play evenly to the original rights holders.

With this new partnership artists and listeners come out on top. Everyone gets paid and DJs can share their work and reach new listeners through one platform.
